My Only Option Was To Work At Home...

With four young kids, my only viable option for making money and maintaining a work/family balance was to find a way to work at home.  Between the daycare costs, the logistics of six people going in six diferent directions, and the 'extracurricular' demands on my time (like dance class, doctor's appointments, dentists, and on and on...)  there was just no way for me to keep a job outside the home, keep a boss happy, bring home a paycheck, and keep my family from suffering. 

Until I found my work at home niche as a freelance writer writing and selling web content and articles, I struggled to find a real opportunity to work online and work at home and not lose my shirt to a scam!

After a lot of research and searching (we're talking months here, literally), I found some links to some free websites where I could try my hand at freelance writing and make some cash too (please visit my Home Page or Writing Sites page to see how I did it). 

For over a year now, I've been making some very nice money at home as a freelance web content writer.  I work at home (working online exclusively), near my kids (except on those blissful days when a friend takes them for me!), and I make a serious contribution to our household income.  I'm not getting rich quick, but I am putting in the hours, turning out content as a respected freelance writer, and helping to pay the bills!  I get to work at home, which is important when you have four kids, and I save a lot over daycare, work, and travel expenses.

Now, I decided to try to help other work at home moms and work at home dads by setting up a site full of helpful "get started" links and valuable learning resources.
